Friends!
b&w is back from a trip into the wonderful South Australian country. I went to visit a few friends for birthday celebrations which unfortunately coincided with THE FIRST TIME I COULD WATCH THE PIES PLAY IN TWO WHOLE WEEKS.....
Had a wonderful weekend. Ran out of excuses to get away from the table to check the score though, but we looked in control the whole game so I was never too concerned. My Maggies scarf, complete with Maxy and Didak badges made its way deep into enemy territory as well so I consider myself as having furthered the Collingwood cause that bit further west.
Presti, hey! What a machine! That man is like Chuck Norris, but better. He would be Chuck Norris' father.
Looking forward to watching the Pies take on the Power in the next couple of weeks in my home city. There's going to be blood spilled and it better be coming from one of the Cornes boys, I'm just saying!
Until next time,
b&w.
black + white
I go for Collingwood. Sometimes it makes my life harder. This is my story. A story full of blood, sweat and tears. And that's just selection day. Read on for more ridiculous anecdotes about living life the black and white way.

Split round...
Split round!
I dread this time of year. It's always my birthday weekend too that we're not playing. Happy Birthday b&w, here's a weekend full of no Collingwood for you. Ouch.
Socceroos kept the dream faintly alive with a draw on Saturday. Yet again the refs treat us like shit. Just like the Pies, the 'roos are NOT the umpires' favourites sons.
Congrats big Reidy on your Rising Star nom. What a great kid, didn't even know he was eligible until he got the call saying he was nominated. Great stuff.
Have sent some Depeet to Maxy for the calf. Hopefully it'll help him get back in time for the Sydney game. Maybe he can rub some on Lukey Ball's groin too, anything to help him get back in the side. Sharing is caring, boys.
Until next time,

The bloody aftermath
Hello friends.
I made the mistake of purchasing the Herald Sun yesterday, instead of my home town rag The Advertiser.
And the back six pages were dedicated to our back six and their failures. And the other 16's failures.
Basically, Mike Sheahan thinks we are both shit and boring and Fraser is on his last legs.
Reading his article was like taking a bullet to the heart with every sentence.
Melbourne fans gave me shit. But until you actually BEAT us, SHUT UP.
But on a serious note, all the best to Jim Stynes who is ill again. Hope you can beat it this time Jim, we need people like you in the world.
Until next time,

Round 13: Melbourne v Collingwood, MCG. Queen's Birthday
What a day.
First the Socceroos fail, falling to Germany 4-0. Then my SANFL team loses. THEN...
the Pies draw with the Demons.
THE DEMONS!
The mighty Demons, whose average age is 13, weight 64 kilos and has about 3 games under their belt. But that bloody 'youthful enthusiasm' can get you at any time.
I didn't need lunch anyway, might as well throw it up. Who needs life-enriching nutrients if your team can't win against a shit one... is there anything to live for?
I thoroughly enjoyed the thousands of cuts to Dean Bailey in the coaches' box. This is obviously far more gratifying than watching someone line up for goal, or a bounce in the forward fifty. Those shots of him still as a statue and reviewing his notes were intense, moving moments.
Devastation rating 6/10. Wasn't a final so you can't put it up past an 8. But it was against a crap team and we had 2349809283742 chances to win it so it's pretty bad. Certainly not wrap-my-car-around-a-pole-bad but definitely not good.
